Parking mad!

I saw this in my local paper and thought you lot would appreciate the irony:

I though it was brilliant, very typical of traffic wardens round my way though, they'd ticket you on your drive.

They'll just ignore it.

Typical jobsworths.

Depends what the photos show really.

If it was on the pavement I front of his place of business it was right to ticket it, if it was on his own land however it wasn't.

Without those photos there's no way to tell.

Well I'm not surprised.
Tried it at work about 4 weeks ago at work. Parked on a loading bay within private land.

Sort of changed their minds when 2 waggons nearly clipped them standing in the middle of the highway

The only council owned land down stadium way industrial estate is the carriageway itself. Everythin up to it belongs to the relevant business. It is actually very difficult to park on Council land.

I've read about similar cases on the BBC news website beofre now. One person parked in a chained off area clearly marked as private property and was still routinely ticketed.

Mates dad owns a shop in Feltham and only just stopped someone digging up the frontage outside the place. Seems they had no idea only the first few feet of the pavement was council and the rest was within his land. Nobody checks - they just go for it.

Parked on the pavement opposite double yellow lines is how the warden views it, which is a valid ticket.

Street view https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=abb...250.62,,0,5.26 and the photo on the news story linked suggest he was on the new bit of tarmac.

Looks like the pavement to me. As he drives a fat, bloated porsche SUV, I'll go with fining him being a marvellous idea ;-).

LOL - I thought exactly the same thing. Chariot of choice for footballers, drug dealers and Tangod WAGs - if there was a list of worst driven cars, it would surely be up there in the top ten.
