I might be horrifically wrong here but I assumed ecu's we're only an option of restriction for the Fuel Injections.. (03 later)
No I don't have one for sale, I don't even know what I'm saying.

Need sleep.

I feel stupid now actually. I'll leave.

Re: sv650x ecu

you could well be right, just since it can't be done via the carbs as there arent any.... lol didn't think about that... I've just seen a few advertised that say restricted to 33hp

in that case any working 2000 plate ecu will do....

There aren't any carbs?

Re: sv650x ecu

The 03 onwards models have injectors and that to me would mean that from 03 onwards they have throttle bodies instead of carbs.

Oh. Yeh I'm with you, just read it wrong in the first place.
Thought you said your 2000 plate doesn't have carbs lol

Re: sv650x ecu

Curvy SV's, as you have, needs the sliders in the carbs changing, I have some 33bhp slides I can sell you, PM me.

Re: sv650x ecu

Im confused?

There isnt an ecu on a 2000 curvy as it has carbs. Carbed engines use a CDI unit which merely controls the spark. You cant restrict a carbed bike with a cdi unit.

You need the carb sliders as alex above says to restrict a 2000 sv. They just fit between the carb and the manifold on the engine in order to restrict the amount of fuel/air that can get through.

If it was a 2003 onwards sv, then it would be fuel injected and then it would be possible to restrict via an ecu which is mapped to 33bhp.
