Akrapovic megaphone on sv650?
 

you can all see that I have my own made carbon can on my bike at the moment which is pretty loud... just not happy with the tone...

anyone got on of these megaphones on their sv?

they go for £160 new delivered or about £100 used delivered....

If i did get one I would mount it and grind off that silly mounting bolt and of course remove the baffle *hehe*

would like to hear peoples thoughts.

not too fussed about mpg or hp impact just does it sound nice 'n loud or pants?

I can fab up a link pipe no problem so mounting is not an issue either.

They are designed for use on bikes that have the main exhaust silencer mounted under the engine, such as the GSXR and R6 etc. so they don't need much in the way of baffles. If you fitted this as the only silencing to an SV it would be deafening, and you'd get pulled over sooner or later.

If you can fabricate a link pipe why not go the full hog and fabricate the end can too. After all, the akro is just like a link pipe extension if used on the sv.
Stu used to have one of these, or something similar, and it is very loud. That said, I'd have one tomorrow.

I've heard/seen one of those exact cans on an r6 and bloooody hell it was loud! I think they look qaulity personally :D

I've already done that....

just got bored quickly of it... plus my bro just got some straight pipes on his bike so gotta get something louder than his ;)

I think I'm not gonna bother in the end.... just thinking out loud really.
