sv650 suspension sag

Hi all,

I am about to set my suspension sag .
I don't seem to be able to find the spanner for rear shock absorber.
Should I pay £20,40 to dealer or can i get any after markets ones?

Also I know the sag depends on your weight but if you have any numbers in mind do let me know.
I am 115 kg

Thanks

The tool is nothing special, just a 'C' spanner, I can't off hand remember what diameter the shock collar is, make an estimation and find a spanner to suit your pocket in a tool shop or on eBay perhaps.

Set the sag so the suspension compresses approximately 30-40mm from fully extended, (so the bike's weight completely removed from the rear wheel) under the anticipated load - ie you, your sandwiches, a pillion if regularly carried etc etc.
