Thinking about returning to an SV
Hello, I havent been on here in a while. I started a profile when i moved back to the UK from america with my sv but didnt really post much.
Story is: I took the SV back from America with the plans to ride it here (restricted for a year) then derestrict it and enjoy it more: http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8869f460.jpg It had 650 miles on it when i bought it, and cost me the equivalent of £2300 Unfortunately due to insurance and the fact that I hadnt had much riding experience here I decided to sell it and buy something a bit more... well rubbish. I ended up with a beautiful purple ER-5 (](*,) - I hated it every second i had it. Once work kicked in and I could afford something nicer i sold it to buy a bike that i had wanted for years, a DRZ400 SM. I took this all over Scotland (albeit not much of a tourer:p): http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...0/IMG_1647.jpg And alternatively to the ER-5, i have loved every second i've ridden it. Oh, apart from the screaming at 70mph... and the lack of pulling power... and the screaming **** pain after 50 or so miles. Other than that, couldn't fault it. Unfortunately I'm getting a bit sick and tired of getting beaten at lights and how limited i am for traveling/touring. I'm also deeply deeply missing the torque and more importantly, the noise  So, long story short, here I am, pretty much decided that my next bike will be another SV. Insurance runs out soon so it'll be the perfect time to make the switch. Now i have to decide whether i want a curvy, pointy, standard or S model :) (also, im not entirely sure where this thread is heading, so i guess i'll just post any progress with buying the new bike in here as it comes!) |
