What do you think people should be aware of?
 

I hope this doesn't sound too much like a drunk ramble (my sober ones are bad enough and I'm definitely not sober tonight)
but I am an information junkie, I like hearing/reading/learning things that make me question things. The more profound the better.

My three things that come to mind are:

This is water

A graduation speech from America IIRC but it is more profound than most.

The next is a book, Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely well worth a read as it makes you more conscious of manipulation and gives a new perspective

This last one is a little "brainwashy" as it repeats the key phrase a few too many times IMHO but I found it interesting and you can spot it's usage in everyday life:

if everyone treated strangers how they would like to be treated then the world might just start to become a nicer place. instead though we seem to have a 'bubble syndrome' in the western world. it's learning to burst your bubble and treat people nice.
