SV650.org - SV650 & Gladius 650 Forum - A new addition to my "fleet"

Thought some of you may be interested in my recent purchase...

About 2 weeks ago I was told about a lady wanting rid of an old Honda from her back garden, no information about it at all just a photo:

So I decided to go an have a look, it turned out to be a 1977 Honda GL1000 (one of the first Goldwings made!). Had been sat around for 5 years after the womans dad walked out on the family and they wanted rid of it.... So I got the bike with every single panel and all covers that had been removed for the pricely sum of £300!!

Since then I have been slowly getting the thing running (few dodgy electrics and very dirty carbs) and putting it back together along with ordering lots of new bits for it.

So as you can see it's getting there and after the timing belts have been replaced and a new master cylinder fitted it should be ready for an MOT!

My plans for it are to keep slowly fixing it up (paint jobs, etc) as I use it for a bit of fun. Then at some point sell it on.

I have been told these are very rare, with not many on the roads in the UK so hopefully it'll pay off when selling time comes.
