Curvy stolen, now won't start.
Hi everyone
My SV was nicked on Wednesday night, after having reported it to the police etc I found it a couple of streets away last night! However it won't start, there's no power when I turn the ignition. They've clearly tampered with the wiring, although doesn't look like anything has been cut, but there's a cable with a green connector plug that's not plugged in to anything. I can't see where it's supposed to go... can anyone help? I'll get a picture up when my phone's charged. I'm trying to get it started before they come back and have another go at nicking it again... last resort is wheel it across Clapham Junction to the nearest bike shop which I don't fancy! Thanks |
Re: Bike nicked but found 2 streets away, won't start. Help!
Is it a naked or a curvy, and what year? That'll help us help you first of all.

It looks like the third picture in this thread:
http://pnwriders.com/mechanical-tech...00-owners.html Don't reckon I'm going to be able to fix that easily. Guess I'll have to have a go at wheeling it across Clapham jctn... wish me luck! |

The green connector is from the ignition switch to the main loom. You don't say where the connectors wires go but I'm assuming you can see the ignition switch side. The other half is by the headstock, lift the tank, lift the air box and there it should be.

Thanks for your help - I managed to wheel it to a shop half a mile away.
