Sv650s 2006 rebuild

Alright people, all my bits have now arrived to get my bike ready to build.

Zx10r 2007 shock
Debrix emulator
K tech springs
Hel lines race set up.
ARD Race fairing.
Dan Moto rearsets (after custom charge :smt076)

I have noticed my first problem or maybe it's just an sv thing. I have taken out the damper rods and had them modifed by Yorkie Chris and I have left the fork to drain. However just been pumping the forks up and down to get the last bit of oil out and noticed the left fork leg( if your sat on the bike) goes up and stops about 1" from the bottom of the triple tree where the right one nearly touches it. However when fully extended the left goes down a lot further than the right.

Is this normal?

Thanks

Re: Sv650s 2006 rebuild

Just took the forks off the bike and the one fork it about 10mm long than the other. The codes on the fork leg are s360-00L, 5N13, SA-1 and the other leg is s360-00R, 5N08, SA-1. Is this right for a 2006 sv650s.

I really need help as I'm concerned the forks aren't right. Also I looked at my Haynes manual and it seems to mention that there is a cap which goes on the bottom of the dampening rod but doesn't seem to have them but in the shorter leg there is something rattling around but won't come out.

Thanks
