Astrophotography

So I decided to buy an adapter kit for my D3200 so I could mount it to my wife's telescope. Now all I need is some clear skies! Watch this space.

Will just need to work out the settings required as it will be in manual mode.

I tried this on my Nikon but even in manual mode it would nothing but a grey photo. Interested to see if you fair better.

So my first attempts were not great. I couldn't get any focus without a barlow lens in between. However I have found that if I want any type of magnification that I need yet another adapter to hold an eyepiece.

I'll be interested to see what comes of this, I was debating it myself but have a starter scope and tried with my bridge camera to no avail and haven't tried it with my DSLR for fear of similar results. Keep us posted! Hope you get some luck.

I need to wait until the moon is up again. I have 24mp to play with so cropping shouldn't be an issue.

I have finally got round to getting the last piece I need to start taking photos. Should be here in few days. Then I just need a clear night.
