Anyone fancy a Honda VFR 800 VTEC?

I have put a deposit down on a new bike and the dealer said they would take this as trade in but I thought I'd offer it up on here first.

It's got 31k
Tax runs out at end of the month
MOT till star wars day (May 4th)

Full Luggage, ABS, heated grips, Scorpion cans, Touring Screen.

Honda Service history till 20k then serviced at local mechanic annually.

Small nail in rear tyre but it's not losing pressure and both dipped beam headlight bulbs need changing but other than that it's tip top

Price - £3500 - Picking new bike up at end of the week so be quick

Only drawback, it's coming up to that painfully expensive 32k service.

It's not too bad. You can do much of it yourself but it is more complicated than the sv hence it take more time.

Like John said, if you get the full valve service done at a Honda dealer it can cost quite a bit, but It's a very well built machine and even Honda dealers say it's not really necessary if the bike is running okay.

Not had any interest though so it looks like the dealer will be getting it.

My local mechanic said that in most cases a compression test is usually enough to indicate if one of the VTEC valves isn't closing properly. But that's really shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.
