Summer house project...
I've recently installed a summer house in my garden to use as a cinema/ chill out room, thought some of you might be interested in a few pics I took along the way.

Re: Summer house project...
Also built myself a fortress of a shed, using an overlapped corner style the same as the summer house.

Re: Summer house project...
How strong is that overlap corner style?
I am looking to do a conversion of my "gazebo" (6 4" uprights supporting a 16'x8' tiled roof) I have been tempted to create a 3" frame, clad the outside in 22mm tanalised fill the void with polystyrene slab and then clad the inside with a finished plywood. |
Re: Summer house project...
Tim, it's very strong, the problem I had is the timber (44mm thick larch tongue and groove) varied in size, (thickness and width) so couldn't make the joints as tight as I would've liked.
I've also fixed some 3 inch arris rail timber on the inside corners, that made it even stronger. I should add, I bought the summer house as a kit, but didn't order the whole kit, I put my own floor in and changed a couple of things I didn't like. |

The summer house kits on the other hand are easy, it's all just like a Lego kit really. I got mine from www.gardenbuildingsdirect.com as I'd fitted one for a customer before. |
