Embarassing moments with the bike

Ok chaps, chapettes...

Most of the regulars here will have heard, or even seen most of my countless embarassing moments (which they keep reminding me of even after I have forgotten myself).

I'm thinking I cannot be alone in this! So lets share some of your more blush-worthy moments.

Mine are, or include (if I missed anything Im very sure someone will fill in!) Some are classic new rider moments, others are are plain stupid.

- Stopping on a slope and dropping the bike after foot found the floor too late

- Dropping the bike in general, record was 5 times in one day...

- Forgetting to put sidestand down, dropped bike.

- Coming to stop at junction. Forgot to put leg out. (dont ask)

- Trying to back peddle on gravel, foot slips, drop bike.

- Trying to u turn with a massive bag inbetween me and the handlebars. Dropped bike.

- Riding off without undoing disc lock. Dropped bike.

Think I got them all........

I was there for the one outside the pub where the ground sloped away rather more than you expected.

I think the worst one I've ever done was trying to ride off with the disk lock still on. First there's the unexpected stop, then the awful realization that you can't keep the bike up from the position you've ended up in and nobody's going to help you. Not recommended.

Yes, I remember vividly landing precariously close to your back wheel! We had stopped en-route to AR in Wales if I recall, at a pub to meet Joey and grab a bite?

lot my footing in the middle of Edinburgh bike on side. most embarrassing bit was a nice young blond lady asked if i needed a hand to lift it up.

when i was a teen i crashed into the back of a parked car in front of all my mates and girlfriend at the time. best bit was it was my girlfriends brothers car.

popped a wheelie and ended up on my arzzz in front of all my mates.

Stopping at a junction in the middle of town on a liveried bike, putting foot down on gravel and doing the slowest topple over known to man!

I nearly caught it, but that bike weighed about the same as the Titanic...

Pete ;)

I've done the disc lock thing as well in the sixth form car park. I now own a lock reminder!
