Yes, but £23000 still seems a little steep however fast it goes, and you still have to recharge it after 100 miles, who can guarantee only going 100 miles on a ride. I just think they have a way to go yet before electric vehicles are a realistic alternative to fossil fuel.

Seems a bit pointless really. The best application for an electric bike would be something cheap to commute on.

Pah, just means you have a lunch or drink stop on your ride, especially if it really can charge in half an hour!

And actually there isn't really any cheap electric commuters, yammy do one which I think is over priced compared to 50's and it's ugly as hell.

It's things like this, the p1 and the 918 that get people excited about what electric power can do which draws more interest and finding and therefore more research so we don't get stuck with a world filled with Gee Wiz's!

So what if it can only do 100 miles, they will be 100 fun filled green miles :)

I was very tempted by a Tesla test drive. I said there was no way I could afford it, they said that didn't matter really.

Apparently lots of bikers had test driven it and been blown away and how it accelerates. Electric is full power, full torque from a standing start. I would love you have a go on that, but I've not even ridden a super sport, let alone a super bike.

Yeah, same people. They have a new model out, been about 6 months. the model X and the model S.
The model S is the one i'd have. They are a 5+2 saloon, between 5 and 7 series sized.

the performance version kicks out about 469 hp, apparently. They also look really cool in the flesh.
