Dunlop Sportsmart 2 - opinions

I need to replace by aging D211 GP Racers (managed 2500 on the rear including 2 days on Jerez GP!) but will be going back to Jerez in October so want a decent road tyre (not commuting) plus TD tyre.

Has any of the ORG tried or know about the new Sportsmart 2? I don't want a tyre that takes ages to warm up on the road but one that can handle at least 1 day at Jerez before I swap them for proper TD tyre.

On GSXR1000.

Quick update. The Sportsmart 2 are great on the road and OK on damp roads. I wouldn't want them on for a long run in the rain though as not many cuts in them. Luckily I do not usually have to ride in the rain so not a problem for me.

They warm up really quickly and get hot within a short time. Grip is amazing on the road but you can really feel the change between cold and hot so take it easy first thing in the morning if the weather is cold.

As for track days, I think they would be fine except I did have the back slide a few times (nothing dramatic) coming out of a slow right and hard on power (I think this was mostly might fault!!). Changed to slicks and no problems so depends but it was 34c air temperature and track was boiling (and on a GSXR1000) so I'd expect that from any road tyre.

I'm having them put back on now but wear so far is OK.

They turn on super quick, ride nicely and very confidence inspiring so would definetely recommend (if like me these days and are mostly a fair weather rider)
