Brake Disks

Looking for two new front brake disks!
Is it best to go through a mechanic or buy them and install them myself?
I'm after websites, people and know how!
I ride a sv650s K4

Cheers guys!

Re: Brake Disks

Do it yourself with a torque wrench to make sure that they are on square, go to your local Suzuki dealer for stock disks, unless you're racing the stock ones are a pretty decent compromise between price and performance IMO. Make sure that there's no crud between the disks and the mount or they might not go on square and use some thread lock on the bolts so that you keep them all! Clean the disks when you install them too, you'll be amazed how much dirt comes off of them (oil etc. to protect them from corrosion in packaging). Change your pads at the same time too so that you don't have worn pads wearing in your new disks unevenly, pads are cheaper to replace than disks in the long run!

Re: Brake Disks

Check out the Chinese ones Garynortheast fitted to his sv, he says they are very good.

If not Black Shadow are UK made and Bibio has them on his Pointy.

OEM are the best, but then you pay for that
