All he needs to pay you by PayPal is your e-mail address. What else can he do with that?
I suppose he could pay you, then after you give the bike to the "courier" he could claim they were nothing to do with him, he didn't get the bike, and open a dispute?

It'll be Western Union or a cheque, Red. If its Paypal, I guess he'll raise a dispute & the seller doesn't get much of a chance, as Paypal tend to favour the buyer in disputes on EBAY items

The buyer will give you a cheque drawn on a foreign bank A/C, you'll pay it in to your bank. After a few days the UK bank will clear the funds into your A/C.

So you are happy and hand everything over

But when the overseas bank receives the cheque to pay the UK bank back, there's no funds in the buyers account to pay. This can take place 2 weeks after the handover of the keys and you vehicle is long gone.

That's how the cheque fraud works I think, I can't remember how the Western Union one works, its slightly different.

Anyway give Jeff or Dave my regards :smt082
