Interstellar

Anyone seen it? If you haven't, get on it asap. Truly a Christopher Nolan masterpiece. Been a while since I've seen a film in the cinema twice, but for this I just had to, mainly because first time round it wasn't in the imax.

Mind boggling stuff. Powerhouse of a soundtrack and visually stunning. A must see.

I purposly didn't watch any trailers or read any reviews of this film because I wanted to enjoy it for what it was. Since I have seen it all I have heard is praise.

Personally I found it far fetched and boring, it's way too long and Matthew Mcconaughey is way out of his depth in such a serious role. Special effects are good but all films have good special effects these days. If you enjoyed 2001, you'll love this but I didn't like that either.

Ah well I must say I did enjoy 2001. Not really a sci-fi kind of guy, but when it comes to this kind of stuff I really do enjoy it. Agree about the choice of lead actor though. He wasn't bad but probably could have picked someone better.

Absolutley the best sci-fi film I have seen, possibly the best film I have seen. I too watched it again just for the mindblowing IMAX.

The soundtrack and visuals really set it apart from other sci-fi films, Its also emotionally gripping, I personally think Matthew played a blinder in the role.

I was with it right until the bookcase scene near the end.

I enjoyed 2001, must admit it's been years since I watched it but I don't think this really compared that well.

Loved bits of it, (most of it really) and hated others.
*spoiler alert*

How mean was his daughter at the end? She basically told him to get lost as she had her own family now. Pfft...

Edit I thought mconeywhatshisface was brilliant, I felt sorry for tard or whatever it was called.

Do you mean TARS, the robot? I thought that was one of if not the best character in the whole film. You think it's a silly design at first, until you see what it can do on that water planet.

TARS that's the fella, when. You first see him in three legged mode you kind of want to just push him over to see what happens.

I adore tars, love it when he is rebooted and hes having his humor level set :)

But for me the best, gripping and amazing scene in the whole film is when they are docking to the destroyed fast spinning space station, That was the most gripping scene of any film I have ever watched, I have never physically tensed up so much watching a film, the soundtrack at that part with the church organ was phenomenal and set the pace and importance of what they were doing beautifully.

I absolutely love Christopher Nolan.

Absolutely agree, the best scene hands down.
'Tars, analyse the endurances spin'. That's when you knew you were in for a scene.
