SV650SY 2000 - UK wiring diagram please
 

Hi,

Got a UK year 2000 (Y) SVS which has just started blowing the 15A low headlight fuse when the engine is started.

Can someone post the wiring diagram please? I've done a search but can't find it. The download links in the FAQ no longer work and I don't have access to torrents.

Not sure. I'm pretty certain there were differences between the UK and US models, plus there's no diagram there for my 00 SVS, although I don't know if the K1 was the same?

But thanks very much for your reply, I was lucky enough to not need it; the left seat bolt had worn through the insulation on the white dipped headlight wire, causing it to short through the frame. This was a known problem back in the day, don't know if it's still an issue? Bit of insulating tape and cable ties to keep wires on both sides of the bike away from the seat bolts in future, all is now working as it should.

Ahh doh didn't notice the 'US' model bit in my haste to be helpful, at least you've got it sorted now :)

Found a download for the SV650 1999 2000 Service Manual, the SVSK1 document may apply to all early SVS models.
