Which coolant? Pointy.
 

Hi all I know there been a few threads on coolant, I am thinking about doing a coolent change myself, but seem to get crossed info from shops on ebay, told not to use castrol as additives my damage engine, I read it's a aluminium alloy engine, looked at rockoil kool xl, told safe for ally aluminium, heard prestone for cars coolent also,would flush out with distilled water before filling, got manual so no problems, have done brakes, & braided lines myself, so think more tan capable, just worried about wot coolant, and thought or advice please.

I used Silkolene pro cool in mine. Safe on ali.

If you want to be really clever and never have to change your coolant again, try waterless coolant.

Seriously, it does exist and causes less corrosion to your engine.

Comes recommended by Jay Leno.

Its a job I'm going to be doing, once its warm enough to work in the garage!

I knew that face, ebc discs on & pads, having writh springs fitted next week, fitted braid hoses galfer carbon, hope all going well with you, not thought about using this coolant yourself, I mean in yer bike!!! Got use to bike now, enjoying it bring on summer, out on it today just to weston, how the birds, & the other half,all the best from Gary

That's what I'm thinking, thought I would buy the coolant in before, plus do some reading up on it, all the best

Plus I'm going to change the hoses, as the bikes 13years old now
