Severed wires
 

Someone recently tried to steal my bike and in the process severed a bundle of wires. I'm wondering if I should try to solder the wires or if I were to replace the wires, do I need to rewire everything or just replace the whole bundle? The shop I called gave me a rough estimate of $1100. The wires are in the front and connect to the starter. I've attached a photo. I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Scumbags, need their pliers applying to their nether regions.

Personally, I would try to solder/heatshrink the cuts. Depending how much loose cable is available, you may have to splice in short sections to give you space to make the joints.

As above I would get some similar gauge wire and solder in a short section if not enough room then heatshrink each one and then wrap back up in insulation tape. I would think replacing the loom would be a pig of a job unless the bike is stripped down.

Those wires are not the main loom, they go from a multi plug on the loom to the left switchgear. The light blue gives that away - light blue is Suzuki for indicator. The reason the bike won't go is that the clutch switch wires - black/yellow - are severed.
Repairing wires in that area is tricky, they need to have as much flexibility as possible or they will soon be damaged.
Either cut sections out and replace such that the joins are in areas that don't need to flex, or replace the switchgear - early switchgear on eBay is £20 or so.

Thanks for the input, guys. I'm going to attempt to add wire and solder tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.
