front caliper mount grinding on disc. (curvy sv650)
Hi,
The front caliper mounts are grinding on the disc, ive so far removed/ reattached the front wheel, calipers and mounts replaced the rubber boots with new and greased properly, replaced the metal pad guides as the disc basically tore them off. Im really lost at the moment on why / how its grinding on the disc. Anyone else experience this in the past and know how to sort it? Many thanks Superstokes92 |

Have you some photos that show this? Might help with diagnosis.

Re: front caliper mount grinding on disc. (curvy sv650)
you haven't put the mounts on the wrong way round, ie the left one on the right leg and vise versa
it isn't right from what i can see. is that what you meant Smithy or the spacers back to front |

Are the front wheel bearings ok?

try greasing the spindle then bounce the front end up and down before tightening the pinch bolts.......

Just checked to make sure they are on the correct side which they are, wheels bearings are all ok, all spacers are correct and present as well, bounced the front end and doesn't seem to work either.
will give the forks a play in a few days, turn them in the mounts to see if that sorts it out, if it does, i presume that would mean new forks will be needed? |

What happened before this started? Have you been riding the bike? Has it been stored? Was any work done on it?
This doesn't seem like something that would just randomly happen. |
