Re: Made a video on my winter gear :-)
I spent 25 years commuting to work daily on bikes. The best bit of kit I ever got was my Widder heated waist coat (with arm chaps). Before that it was layer upon layer of tops, extra thick gloves in winter that reduced feel, thick socks over ordinary socks to try and keep my feet warm. Heated grips were no good as the gloves were so thick that no heat got through.
After getting the Widder, the thick socks were no more, I was able to wear my "intermediate" gloves (lined and waterproof but not extra thick winter ones) throughout winter and just had a base layer, waist coat and then textile jacket on top. Once your core is warm and pumping hot blood to your extremities, you don't need all the extra thick gear any more. Anyhoo, nice review and keep up the good work with the vids. |
