New shape SV; wikkid, or pig-ugly? You decide

Like the heading says. Vote now (assuming I've sussed this poll lark)

I like it, but as they say, the proof is in the riding......which is gonna be sooooooon :)

It's growing on me...

New frame seems to emphasise the bikes skinnyness though :?
At least the old frame added a bit of beef to the narrow engine.
Just my 2p.

Laters.

Looks awful both versions especially the cheap frame. What really bugs me is the improvements are what we wanted a couple of years ago more power suspension larger tank. Now Suzuki have done it & put it in that package.

More power? I think not. It's rated at 69bhp like the old one, unless you're referring to the 1000?

I voted for "ugly". I think the new shape looks too much like a FAZER. I also wonder if the new angular shape (not only on the SV but on many other bikes) has anything to do with the VFR being so pointy. I mean with Honda being the biggest M-facturer of bikes there is, I wonder if the smaller factories feel the need to follow the same styling trends. Just my thoughts and thanks for letting me ramble on :)

Jonboy, the new SV has more power, maybe not as much from the start, but it much easier to get more out of it with remapping, airfilter and exhausts.

More power...

It has been alleged by those who have seen them on a dyno that the new SV puts out 72 hp at the rear wheel where as most of the old shape ones only managed around 67 or 68 hp as standard.

An end can, filter and a bit of messing around with the fuel map should give you around 76 hp fairly easily.

new or old

I love both, but go ride a new one, then judge..... I did.

It may still be advertised as 69bhp, but I have seen the proof of RWHP (not measured at the spark plug or 'owt daft).
