Flipping Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa

I just mounted a set of Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa's. A buddy helped me mount them thus saving the outrageous $50 that a shop would want to do the job.

Stupidly, we mounted the front backwards. In other words, I flipped the tire.

Since Pirelli's have 0 degree belts in them I've heard of riders flipping the tires to get some extra life out of them as it makes no difference which way one mounts them.

Has anyone had experience with this? I hate to take the tire off of the rim again and remount it.

Thanks,

Joe

To be honest, I'd fit it properly, for a couple of reasons.
1/ Even if it has no problem the wrong way round, you can bet in the event of an accident the police accident investigator would note it and the insurance would use it as an excuse to not pay out or reduce payment.

2/ Tyres are always constructed to run a certain way and you've set the tyre to run the wrong way from the start of it's life, it'll get a lot of abuse, and could cause a problem , you will be "taking it easy" always wondering if it will? Do you really want that worry?

I know its hassle, but "peace of mind" will help you ride the bike better.
Do it :!:

Cheers Mark.

another issue is the water dispersal.

The sipes are angled a certain way to pump the water outwards rather than inwards towards the contact patch!
