I've saw this posted on a SP2 board and thought you guys should know about this!!

watch the following video and then tell me if your willing to change your lock, a reliable source has tried this himself and it works..

Not just them, but some other locks using similiar round keys...

(kryptnite D-locks were never all that secure, i broke my old one with a volvo car jack and a steel pole, took about a minute inclduign lots of faffing around trying to fit the jack in)

My dads a master locksmith and works with the police. Those Yellow crappo disc locks that people put on there car steering wheels (usually dumb micra drivers) he has of in under 7 seconds.

The best in-car security, I know this is a little off-topic, is the multi-lock gear change restrictor.

I'm always impressed but what the pros can do to locks, we managed to lock both sets of keys inside our strongroom in our old branch- a secure area containign ATM, blank cheque books, draft books, and about quarter of a million in cash. The guy came out from the locksmiths armed with a screwdriver, a mallet, and a can of chewing gum remover. Squirted a little water into each lock, sprayed them with the chewing gum remover to freeze it, and then shattered the lock barrel with the screwdriver. All 3 locks were done in under a minute, and they were pretty top flight locks- way better than is, for example, on your house front door.

I do remember him having a set of special picks that the security services (MI5 and such) use to open doors. I had my garage door open in seconds and I was 8 at the time. Well impressive! Come to think of it I better see if he's still got them..

For motorbikes he only recommends the Black & Decker Bulldog at £80. Most the stuff is cheap steal from China.

This sounds like a load of b*****t scaremongering to me.

I challenge anyone to send me a lock and a standard pen that opens it and I will test it personally.

I have to agree at this point that it sounds unlikely. Please do prove us wrong.

I however never nothing of either arguement but I'm keen to check it out... can't magine my Oxford Monster lock is easily pickable.


All this talk reminds of of my childhood... picking your class mates lockers, ah, those were the days...
