Whitch GSXR1000 schock fits the SVS01 ?? in lenght ???
As far as I can see, it come in diff sizes ???

Fork upgrades, is there a HOW TO ?? somewhere ??? any recommendations ???

Anybody know (dyno??) the diffence between K&N and BMC Race ??? filter

As BMC make three types and I think K&N do two, which one's are you talking about :?: .

What you mean is, that on the dog bone i just buy ie. GSXR1000 K4 dog bone, and the change the suspension to compensate on the lack of lengh ?

Apparently the 96-00 Gixxer shock fits heightwise, as does the Kwak 636... Not tried either though, just repeating what's been said before.

Likewise, if I do get rid of the renegade filter and fit another aftermarket one, it'll be a Race RS, just from word of mouth.

And recommendations, I dropped in the Ohlins springs and 15W oil, delighted :) The springs alone made a big difference, replacing the oil and sorting out the air gaps has made a massive difference, so planted... So now I need to go back and change the settings on the rear, again, as it's skipping again.

What air gap have you used? I've now got what I hope is 5mm greater air gap than std., with 15W oil and a bit of preload (7-8mm) on std. springs, and it's *much* nicer to ride. An air gap of 10mm greater than std. gave too much front end dive, but 5mm, while still diving a bit, hasn't bottomed out yet - I've got a tie-wrap on one stanchion to monitor it. The result is that the front end feels good and doesn't jar so much over larger road irregularities and try to rip the bars out of my hands if I'm looking up the road rather than the minute details of the road surface!

Someone will tell me no doubt tell me I got it wrong, but I reckon that 1ml of oil = 1mm in a fork tube (approx). Therefore, having set the airgap with the forks out, I'm using a graduated syringe to add or remove oil.

Just what the haynes manual recommended, but the non-standard springs probably mess with that once they're in... So I'm not really sure, but it seems to work. Dropped the forks 7mm through the yokes as well. Why 7mm? Why not? :)
