Where to buy a BMC Race RS air filter...
 

Can't find a source by googling... And I'm sick of mucking about with the Rene filter trying to get a decent clearance from the tank. Thanks for any help!

Tried JHS Racing? Having said that, if you can be patient for a wee bit I may have one to sell. My second SV I believe has got a K+N filter(have not checked yet) and I was going to do a back to dyno run with the BMC before decideing which one to get rid of. Also got the Dynojet kit and the bigger dynojet mains needed which I used on the first SV with a full Akrapovic system.

I got my bmc race filter from E-bay shop, Factorymarc. I have justed checked and at the monet it looks like he only has the street filter but it might be worth droping him a line. I think mine cost me £40ish quid inc shipping from the US. I had the same problem trying to find a supplier in the UK. Turns out it's cheaper to ship it in from the US, and when they are made in Italy where is the sense in that!!!!!!!!

Hmm, never thought of JHS, what an eejit... He sells them as part of the stage 2 kit doesn't he- though I don't know what version it is.

I've contaced that Ebay seller- thanks guys! 21Quest, I'll crack on with trying to find a new one but if that doesn't work out I'll be in touch :) Might be interested in your jet kit too, once I get rid of the intake problems with the Rene I reckon I'll be lean again...

Am I cracking up? There used to be 3 BMC filters for the SV- Street, Race, and Race RS- Race RS was IIRC a snokelled filter with high-passfilter material. But now there's just the Race And Street. Am I losing it?

I'm after one to so if anyone find a better price than £52 be sure to update us. I emailed the US guy but had no reply.

There still are three different versions. The main trouble is that most people haven't heard of the Race RS (including some of the staff working for the importer).

Why mess about trying to get one cheap when JHS Racing keeps them on the shelf?

Northy did you buy one? I'm getting those twin renes any day soon so need the filter and jetting sorted. Anyone know an online store that does the correct 140 mains?

I contacted JHS, they claim the one they sell is a special filter made only for them (funny, factory Pro say the exact same thing about the same filter) and they won't sell seperately from the jet kit. So depending on what's all in the jet kit, I might go the whole hog, not sure yet- still discussing it with JH...
