Bridgestone BT56

Not bad tires, they are pretty hard and offer good grip in the dry.
They warm up very quickly.
Stay away from white lines and be very cautious in the wet.

Milage wise you should get 10 to 12000 Km (7500 miles)

For my next set Im gonna try Bridgestone 090

BT56ss were on some of my Triumphs and I loved them, but you can't get them anymore, they were replaced by the 010's.

Cheers Mark.

My girlfriend has a GS500F K4 and it has BT56ers as standard. I've driven the little GS quite often now and i'm impressed with the those tyres. Remember, the GS is an extreme budget bike so it's surprising they fitted good tyres. I actually think they're a lot better then the crappy D220 of my K3 (soon to be replaced by Z6 Roadtecs :D ).

Be aware though of the BT090's ! I've used them on my RS250 and although they provide A LOT (no exaggeration) of grip, they're gone in under 3000 miles ! It is a good trackday tyre but too soft for everyday use

I rode a Hornet900 for a day and it had BT56s on it. Felt fine, but then the Hornet didn't have anywhere near the ground clearance of an SV650.

I used BT090s on the CB500 i had cause i was doing track days. As someone already said, they'll be gone pretty quick. Never ever even hinted at losing grip tho (no surprise on a CB with a gumby like me riding).
