Yamaha YICS system on an SV? Saw on svrider.com...

http://www.svrider.com/articles/oct04/modTrain.htm

On this page on the svrider.com site, the author writes about how he installed a setup similar to the Yamaha YICS on his SV, and was able to turn the idle down to 800 rpm. Would that be possible, and has anyone done it, or a how-to on it? And, wouldn't having the idle rpm that low affect the engine oiling at idle? Other than that, I think it would be sweet.

The research I've found on the YICS is limited, and it seemed to be a Yamaha fuel efficiency trick in the early 80's. Any thoughts from the SV elite?

Why would you want to turn the tickover down in the 1st place? Its set at 1300rpm for a reason. Turn it down and it idles lik a harley!!

Not that I necessarily want it to sound like a Harley... might be interesting, but I do a lot of stop and go commuting, and if it might save a little fuel, that's fine by me.

Mutter...time to figure out how to put the idle screw back into his engine
