Can anyone recomend a tank bag for a 2000 SV650S?

I'm planning a bit of trip and will need one

I have a 2000 SVS and find the Cargo Endurance tankbag great, much better than the Oxford ones....

They come with a 10 year guarantee and are well made - mine is expandable and I can fit quite a lot of stuff in there, although I dont like to fill it up too much when expanded - it comes up quite high!

A bit on the pricey side though, I think I paid about 70 quid for it about a year ago.......

Bagster, not cheap though, but the best I've ever owned.

I got an end of season Oxford one last year. Cheap as chips! Perfect for what I needed. Only thing with a tank bag is you can't lean forward over the tank, so long motorway miles are a pain in the neck. Literally. Have you thought about getting a tail pack or sticking with a rucksack?

Rucksacks are dangerous for carrying anything heavy, and quite frankly if my tailpack is anything to go by, so are they. At least on pointy SVs.

I've got the oxford humppack sport Lifetime and it's excellent. Fully expandable and stayed put even on my little off earlier this year.

I have an Oxford Humpback which I've inserted a plyboard base into and bolted to a spare pillion seat I got from a brakers.

Does the job for me though I've not had any seriously heavy loads in it as it saves the need for bungees, avoids rubbing the paint and can still remove rucksack part of it if needed. Imagine something similar would fit the bill if you were touring! :idea:

I'll second that, didn't like them at first, but they are so easy to use, easy to get on & off the bike, and also protect the tank from damage.
