How much for Labour??

How much does your dealership charge for Labour?

Need some jobs doing & was quoted £35 per hour + VAT.

Think it sounds reasonable...... but curious as to what standard rates may be.

Cheers, Ali.

Cheers, Ali.

It's normally £45/£50 + VAT, so £35 ain't half bad :!:

Have paid anything between £25 and £40 depending on the dealer, Kawasaki ones have been most expensive on past experience, £35 is towards the higher end but probably about average

Do you get what you pay for? I'm assuming that's Alvins you were at, and in my experience they do good work and opnly slightly fiddle the figures. I was paying £30 labour from my old Yam dealer (evil Carrick Yamaha) but everything was done as shoddily as it possibly could be while still having the bike ride away. It's worth paying more to get it done right IMHO.

Daytona's in Islington charge £52.88 per hour. I was impressed with their workshop and some of the bikes in there too.

Also, sometimes higher labour pays for better stocking and facilities- ie, Alvins are reasonably cheap but never have the damn part you need- even if it's something like the o-ring for the rear master cylinder, common to 90% of Suzukis, they have to order it in  But stock costs, so keeping a well stocked storeroom puts pounds on the labour costs.
