Alternative Routes to work??

Currently I travel 65 miles to work each day taking about 1hr 15mins to 1hr 30, a 130 mile round trip.
My journey starts joining the A3(M) at junction 2 after leaving the B2149.
I travel all the way up the A3, though Hindhead and then Guildford, all of which have some sort of congestion. To the M25 at Junction 10, then from there to junction 13 and down the A30 to Hounslow.

Now is there anyone else out there that does a similar journey the could maybe offer some alternative routes, or some ideas of things I could do to avoid traffic queues. Like the best times to travel as I've only been doing this for a week I'm not clear on the 'peak' times.
I don't want anything too twisty as I'm on a old Kwaka GT 750 and there is too much rubbish on the roads, plus I want to keep fuel consumption to a minimum.

Thanks,

instead of going on M25 you could go on the a344 (i think) through esher and round that way to hounslow. not exactly dream biking roads but better than the m25!

i'd try playing with the route planner on the aa web site http://www.theaa.com/travelwatch/planner_main.jsp

My boss comes up that way & reckons it cuts out a lot of the congestion.

I'll have a look at that, the AA site keeps telling me to go up to the M4 then come back down a few juntions later... mmmh.. rather avoid that.
