Time to put the bikes away (maybe)
Pulled from the met office site.
ADVANCE WARNING OF SEVERE WEATHER Here is an ADVANCED WARNING of Heavy Snow affecting Scotland, Northern Ireland, North West England, North East England, The Midlands and Wales. Issued by the Met Office at 09:34 on Sunday, 16 January 2005. The Met Office is forecasting a very strong, cold westerly or northwesterly flow to become established across the UK during Monday. Frequent snow showers are expected across much of northern Britain, as well as some central parts. Western and northern Scotland are expected to be worst affected, 5 to 10cm of snow likely in places, with over 15cm accumulating on high ground. Combined with severe gales and gusts to over 70mph at times, blizzard conditions and drifting will occur, particularly on high ground where untreated roads may become impassable. During Tuesday, somewhat less cold air will probably move across the UK, the snow tending to become confined to high ground, where some further significant falls with drifting may occur. For enquiries regarding this warning - please contact your regional Met Office. Transmitted by the Met Office at 09:34 on Sunday 16 January |
no snow yet except on the hills
|
nowt that concerns the beautiful south then!
lovely here this afternoon, even I got my bike out! and i'm the biggest wimp on the world, anything below 15 degrees and i'm whingeing  |
I had a blast today, lovely dry roads for most of the day.
|
Yep,
No Snow yet in South Wales - Although in Newpot at least, fongboy or Jonc could tell you a different story being in the Valley's? But been for a blast today into Abbergavenny, no snow YET! |
Mass, if you want a nice run, keep going past Y Fenni on towards Brecon, then head round it towards Builth Wells (if my memory serves)
I love that run on a dry day, can maintain a bloody good speed through the mountains. |
what scares me is the BBC are saying its going to be sunny intervals!!! and no rain or snow!!!!
|
At least it'll make a refreshing change from rain and more bloody rain even if it does mean the bike'll have to stay in the garage.
