rear sproket
Hav a 99 sv650s. could I put 46tooth rear to improve acceleration?
|
Prolly, though isn't that two teeth up on standard SVS?
|
Oh God yes and you'll love it... you'll probably be better to get a new longer chain... Having said that I ran the bike for a year with the normal length chain and it was ok, but it did rub tyres off huggers...
I couldn't go back to having a 44 back sprocket, and anyway, how often do you sit at 120/130mph??? but how often do you nail it out of 40/50 mph corners... |
how about a 45 tooth?
|
If you're going to do it, put on the 46 tooth. You'll definitely notice the extra urge and top speed really won't be affected adversely.

Get the chain for the naked, evenwith the 46 rear you have plenty of adjustment left.
Cheers Mark. |
Agree with Rictus, It will use the standard s chain, but max adjusted, I went up to the naked chain, now no probs. By the way try my how to's link here.
