SUZUKI GSX1400
My dad is selling his KLR650 to buy a GSX1400,
Does any one know if there is a big service due on a GSX1400 at 12,000miles, and what needs doing to it. Also, what should he look out for when buying it? |
I've been thinking about a GSX 1400 too... you/your dad might find www.gsx1400.org worth a visit. I supect the 12000 miles service is probably quite a big 'un.
Two things (apart from justicfying it when my SV 650 K3 is fine) is the 'usual' Suzuki problem with the quality of finish on bits like front forks plus on the pre K4 models the white wheels which are a b***** to keep clean and IMHO look naff. Hope your dad finds what he wants. |
Don't know anything at all about them other than that they're very cool :)

Has he looked at the CB1300 made by shhhhh! Honda
|
and they have enough underseat storage that you could get a weeks shopping in there
|
A pal of mine has one, and as long as you tweak the suspension on 'em, they handle brilliantly (Hmmmm sounds like a common Suzook theme here :P ).
It goes like stink for a big bike an'all  |
Cheers all.. The bike ma dad was after is sold now, but he is still after one he has around £4500 to play with, so if you see one in yorkshire let me know.
Cheers SPeeeeDY |
Ther's one advertised on Jordans website and on York Suzuki's - but the websites are not always up to date - try quick search on MCN's website or Biketrader's
|
To bad that bike isn't sold here in the USA. I'd very much like to demo ride one of them bad boys. All we have here is the Bandit 1200S, which is pretty fast itself.
Cheers, Richard |

Actually I think that Honda looks quite nice, I would prefer an old original CB1100 though |
