insurance question
 

i had a accedent (pedestren ran in front of me and i hit him) in june in my car i DID NOT claim for damage but this person is trying to sue me (police cleared me)and all info past to insurance co (not heard anything) but if i phone up a insurance quote for a bike do i have to declare this?
as the insurances are independant of each other it should not make any difference should it
if anybody has had a similar thing happen to them i would be intrested to know how you handled this.

Yuk, bad luck. This *shouldn't* affect insurance as the insurer at the time of the incident will take the fall, if anyone does.

It could depend on how they ask the question,

Some insurers ask about any 'pending' convictions or claims,

your best bet is always to be honest, it may cost you a bit more now but could save you a fortune later.
