whats one of them called.
hello all, for all you knowledgable bods out there can you tell me what the cog like part that lies in the speedo sensor at the front wheel called, its about an inch long with 4 teeth (did have 4 teeth anyway) on the wheel side. i need to replace it, as its pretty much shattered, strange eh!
any help is, as always, appretiated. please forgive any grammer/spelling i'm a scouser. |

I believe is called the speedo drive, and as grinch said it has to be ordered as a whole part. If memory serves me right it costs about 80 quid, although I am sure itching2go will come round here soon enough with the correct price. :roll: Depending on how old your bike is you can get it replaced under warranty which is what I done with mine.

Or, if you've had new tyres fitted lately, I'd pay a visit to the people who fitted them...

Drop Joe and PM, and he'll sort a new one out for you... they're extremely fragile, and brake fairly often, either through damage when you have your tyres changed, or perhaps just through wear and tear.
They're only about £13 to replace, so not the largest expense you'll ever have to foot for owning a bike! |
