Brake lines
wahhhhhhhhhhhhh my first post got lost :(
ok here goes round 2 Ive been looking for brake lines and the right price i found it at 01274 421734 what i pay :( £ 75 What i get :) :) 3 front lines ( as opposed to two ) and a rear line all sleeved in clear sleeve with full stainless ends throughout It gets better I mentioned SV650.ORG and asked if i get a bit off ;) nudge nudge wink wink eh said he could`nt do any better on the price as he would be better of giving them away if he did BUT :D He offered me the choice of colour coated stainless ends for free (normally £3 a line ) As an incentive to SV650.ORG readers Not just us but he said he does that for a few of the forums :D so there ya go am i chuffed you betcha some folk want £85 for a 3 line set with ss fittings i got a four line set with coloured stainless fittings at no extra charge delivered ( free ) mid next week for £75 Sorted got to get me beast cleaned up now :D |
Correct me if I'm wrong but...
Isn't two front lines up front better? That way the lines go directly from the master cylinder to the calipers. With three lines are the brakes not setup in a y-formation where the single line from the master cylinder feeds into a splitter and then two lines lead to the calipers? Being a less direct path doesnt this result in brakes not being as firm/responsive?

A three line kit comes with two lines for the front and one for the rear.

I prefer two lines on the front. Shortest route for the fluid and less joins. |

and anyway the amount of difference that a 2 line as opposed to three line will offer personally i think is negligable i just wanted a like for like kit which i got at a very reasonably priced £75 imho when you consider theres guys on ebay selling 3 lines with nickel on there for £ 40 i got a good deal thats all :D |
