Headlight bulbs

Can any body tell me , can i put 60w bulbs straight into my standard 99/02 sv 650 or will it melt things like switches or wiring.

No Problem!

I put 60 / 55 Laser Blue bulbs in mine 2 years ago, they are not very blue though, but certainly brighter than the Suzuki candles.

Thanks Malc i will get them changed then, it will be a novelty to see where im going in the dark.
