Help on buying new bike..URGENT!!!
The bike im should be buyind has been declared off the road over the winter, Is there anything i should be wary of? Is the logbook the same as usual? and what do i have to do to put it back on the road?
the bike is an SVSK3 Cheers SPeeeeDY |
Paperwork wise I think you just buy tax for it and that's sorted.
Mechanically I'll leave the advice to somebody with a clue. |
thanks fot that.
19 hours from now and i will be the owner of a SV SK3 in silver with a Blue flame titanium end can with removable baffle, undertray tail tidy with only 3000 dry miles on the clock :D SPeeeeDY |

Nice one Ryan.
If you are going to test ride it make sure you check the tyre pressures first if it has been laid up for the winter. Might also be worth draining the fuel tank as unleaded fuel can 'go off' however to be honest, if it runs ok then I would just get on and ride it and enjoy it. Take it the forks aren't too pitted then  |

yeah,
oil should be changed too. as moisture can build up. |
Thanks for the advice.
I have just got home after buying the SV SK3. It is immaculate with 3000miles on the clock. I just can't wait to take it for a real ride now. I will have a mini service done when i get the bike restricted, but the cheapest quote i have got so far is £170 for the restriction  does anyone know where it is cheaper in or near leeds??? Cheers SPeeeeDY |
