few on here have used them and found they deflate the tyres

I was thinking majorly chav like. Especially looking at some of the buyer comments on the site too.

Chavness of the highest order I am afraid.

Like IanSV says, there have been rumours of them splitting valves and causing the tyre to deflate.

If it weren't for both of the above, would they have a use as a safety feature to make your bike more visible in the dark?

Are they the equivalent of under car flourecent lights for a bike?

There not rumors.. its true.. in my darker days I had some blue ones on my SV. I had a a front tyre deflation at 90 in the outside lane, it tore the valve open. Though the tyre kept the shape it was a bit hairy.

The wife duke has red ones, but she's got metal valves.

Oh dear. Brown trouser moment was it?
