Rear Number plate light

If anyone has fitted the hamicad fender eleiminator on a k3/k4 have you got any good ideas to prevent the number plate light light from shining a back. It it very bright when viewed from behind the bike and fellow riders are moaning like hell.
Any ideas?

Tell them to shut up?
I did consider putting some tape over part of the light but I just couldn't be bothered in the end.

You could put a lower wattage bulb in it? Or I could be talking out of my **** :lol:
