differences between K3 and K4 models - help!
 

can someone tell me the difference between the back ends of K3 and K4 sv's? I was about to buy a thing called an alu rack for my K4 model but I was told at the last minute that it only fitted K3. I thought they were exactly the same. Any help appreciated!

There's a bend in the subframe which shifts the position of the exhaust and the pegs.
I'm surprised it doesn't fit, though, because as far as I know, the actual back of the bike is still in the same positions relative to the bits, if you see what I meant.
I have a K3 givi rack on my K4.

The 04 and newer SV's rear sub-frame is 40mm lower than on the 03 SV.

I've heard some K3 huggers won't fit K4s very well and vice versa.

i remember somebody posting a snazzy gif file that showed the differences between the two. Some time last year I think. Do a search for it as it depicts the differences very well.
