sv1000s tyre choice?
Guys
Just picked up my SV1k and could do with a rear tyre (discount negotiated at time of purchase) Its still on stock Michelin Pilot Sports front and rear. On my SV650s i had BT012 F and BT020 R and found them excellent. Would like somthing thats great in the dry, great in the wet and hard wearing (if there is such a tyre) please give me a shout. Cheers |
road attacks are good in wet and dry and fairly hard wearing for a reasonably sticky tyre.

I switches to Diablo's on my SV1000 and found then to be good tyres. I'm now using the Mets Roadtec Z6's as recommended by Rictus. If the Diablos were 100% grippy the Z6's feel 90% but so far theyve lasted me 200% longer than the Diablos.
Thats 7000 miles on the RoadTecs which look like they've only done 2000. The Diablos lasted me around 3500 miles if I remember correctly. Come the Summer, I'll be switching back to Diablo's for track days and rideouts etc. |
