There will be a prize to whoever can pinpoint the problem with my bike as shown by this photo - I seem to have developed a slight steering problem!! :shock:

What happened indeed!! I wish I knew!

Basic story is:
trundling queue of traffic doing 30 down the A272;
a car several cars ahead decides to turn right (or left);
car immediately in front brakes hard;
crash test dummy fails to see brake lights (currently assumes there were some);
crash test dummy impacts car and proceeds to attempt to plough a furrow through the tarmac with shoulder;
crash test dummy's mate nearly runs into same car but saved by stonking Tuono brakes - and despite going through a pool of fork oil caused by said dummy's left fork shedding all it's contents on the road (having been severed in half by said impact);

Thanks go to Damien for being a star. Oh, and driving me home from hospital!

Lucky escape by the sounds of it. :shock: Glad you are here to make an account of it.

Avianblue 26-03-05 09:24 PM

Luckily I didn't hit it at 30.

I became vaguely aware that there was something red and box-like in front of me which seemed to be rapidly approaching - and which probably wasn't going to miraculously move out of the way. So brakes were tentatively applied! 8)

It's the fact that I ended up on the other side of the road that worried! :?

****!

Ouch!

Glad you sound so easy about it and aint lookin to blame the car, the road, the brakes, the seagull that cast a shadow over the tarmac ahead of you or anything else.

Hope the bone mends well and quickly for ya :thumbsup:
