Fuel Filter on a 2000 SV650

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2000 sv650?

I'm not sure about the '00, but on my '04 it's integrated to the pump

As far as I'm aware there isn't a separate filter as such. There are strainers (fine mesh) in the tank tap and pump I seem to recall.

If you wanted to fit one I'd put it between the pump and carbs so it doesn't restrict the intake to the pump. The only downside would be more fuel sitting above the engine to cause vapour problems after hot soak. :?

my 99 didn't have one, i fitted a russel aluminum bodied sintered-bronze element one from an autoparts store (look in the performance aisle). its the best filtering you can get and its serviceable, ie: cleanable. and, it will flow way more than any bike will need. :D

Don't you guys have Haynes or Clymers anywhere for reference?
