Courting a Moron
 

For those who have the inside story of Lynn's mishap, (no, not that one)
the one in Jan, involving white van man, the latest development I have to gossip about is:
White van driver was uninsured, vehicle not taxed either.
He has been charged after CPS debated facts (12 witnesses ?) with :
Assaults on Lynn
Ditto on me,
Causing the accident,
driving uninsured,
having untaxed vehicle on road,
Police have not registered the fact that he turned right out of a left turn sideroad, illegally !
His defence is said to be "someone stopped to let him out"
Well, it was not me, as I was first to reach his van, then came Lynn, unfortunately too slow on take off ( 8) )
He has a bit of a police record, so will be in court before too long, & if he pleads not guilty, up to higher court, when Lynn & I may be called.
So, anyone fancying a day in court to see fair play, ( potentially stopping him intimidating witnesses & victims) keep in touch, Lynn will know when & where in due course. TTFN Pete.

Apparently I have heard that after my accident an old couple followed the culprits after they ran (on foot) but backed off as they were threatend with a kickin :!:

I think the reason hes been charged with driving uninsured is because he failed to produce the appropriate documents when given a producer.

Certainly my insurance co checked the vehicle reg and it has insurance on it and are dealing with it accordingly - was told by ins. co that it was a company van with company insurance....

but Im unsurprised by anything the police/cps do after working with them for 2 years....

wasnt aware of the untaxed status of the vehicle.... but given mine wasnt on the bike at the time of the accident [would you believe it but I was late in to work because I work late on Fridays to get to the soho meet so I stopped off to get a tax disc holder for the road tax Id got 2 days earlier?
I tell you.... I dont know anyone whos so luckily unlucky as me.... :shock: :lol: :lol: ]

Im surprised the police havent done anything about my failure to display... but given I explained all this to the wpc at the hospital the afternoon of the accident, and in front of her disbelieving look, pulled out said holder, receipt, and all the docs which fortunately were still in my rucksack effectively confirming what Id just told her I think theyre giving me some leeway....
