Paperwork when buying a bike
 

hey peeps,

I'm flying over to the UK to pick up a '03 SV1K (woo hoo! :D ) and wanted to ask a few question re what paperwork to expect to get. I know you guys have a V5 doc - is there anything else? The bike has only 1500 miles and is still under warranty so should I expect to get warranty docs and a service logbook with the bike? Where abouts is the VIN on the new model? Anything else I should check?

The datatag (or whatever tagging system is used) forms - so you can register yourself on their records as the owner and it can be traced back you you if it gets pinched. Somewhere I've seen that all the latest Suzukis come with this as standard... anyone else confirm this or not?

All new suzukis come with Alphadot, not sure how many years they've been doing that, though.

Just noticed that you said an 03 bike, so it will definitely have them.

My 00 bike came with it had to do it myself though but that could be down to a lousy dealer
