Gear Linkage Adjustment - Should it be necessary ?
 

Further to my recent post concerning my problems downshifting...think I've cured it by adjusting the gear linkage.

Is this normal or is there something more sinister at play ?

I had my previous bike six years and never had to do this once.

Bike is still under warranty etc

Never had to adjust mine, or on any previous bike I've had. If it's under warranty you should of took it back just to be sure.
